Hi Martin

Is it possible to rotate a map image in TDV? I attach a screen shot. I have put the notch at the step between the 2 sections of map. The right hand portion needs to rotate to bring the main line into the tunnel to match the TEMPLOT line to eliminate some of the discrepancies between the two sheets.

Many thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

1. Click the relevant picture shape in the list.

2. Then click the modify shape: > picture content: > twist... button:

Make sure you read all the help notes. :)

p.s. this is not new in TDV -- you can do this in previous versions of Templot.

It's strange how many request for help with TDV relate to stuff which has been in Templot for years. :?

regards,

Martin.

Hi Phil,

As far as I can remember, I called it "twist" originally because it relates only to the bitmap image content. I wanted to reserve the word "rotate" for the situation where the border of the enclosing picture shape rectangle is rotated. That's still not implemented for background shapes, although you can now do it with images on the sketchboard.

regards,

Martin.

Sometimes there are to may or not enough words to adequately describe the point one is trying to make.

Cheers Phil
