I am trying to do a 90 degree diamond crossing, but Templot says it does not support anything less than 1:1.5. I guess I could just build it without a template, but one of the roads is curved, so it would be slightly awkward without a template. It would be nice to know if it is possible to draw in Templot, if it is not too difficult. |

Hi R C, Sorry, short-angle crossings are not directly supported in Templot. There are some relevant notes here: topic 160 regards, Martin. |

Thanks Martin. I am sure that with gauges and a bit of common sense, I can construct one without an accurate drawing. Grateful for the reply. |

Hi RC. What scale / gauge are you working to? Tony. |

Hi Tony Many thanks for your interest, but after a busy evening's work I am now half-way through building the diamond crossing. It is for a friend in OO9, which is quite an experience, after finescale stuff! The problem is once you start using Templot, you think you need it for everything. I will be trying to design a new kitchen with it before long ;) Best wishes Richard |

All though not strictly accurate why not overlay two plain track with check rail templates over each other and leave out the timbering as this will be baulk road anyway. When constructing it you will have to remember to leave a gap where the rails cross or lots of very short templates. Cheers Phil | ||
