Martin, As an Apple man, I was wondering if this relatively cheap MS computer would have enough power to run Templot? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/116-msi-s12t-touchscreen-laptop-e1-2100-dual-core-4gb-500gb-wifi-bt-hdmi-webcam-usb3-win-81?utm_source=google+shopping&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CMys-qfGmMUCFYHKtAod7DEAUQ Regards Maurice |

Maurice It's not just about power - screen size is also an important consideration and that product's screen is not much bigger than an iPad! I run Templot on a Macbook Pro using Crossover. There are a few minor issues documented elsewhere on Templot Club regarding the running of Martin's helpful videos, but overall, it is perfectly usable without major capital expense. |

Hi Maurice, Welcome to Templot Club. If you have a modern Apple computer you don't need to buy a Windows computer, Templot runs on Apple computers quite well using CodeWeavers Crossover (inexpensive) or Winebottler (free). Many users run Templot on Mac computers this way: http://www.codeweavers.com http://winebottler.kronenberg.org Sorry, I can't comment on an individual computer without trying it myself. But anything capable of running Windows 8.1 should have more than enough power to run Templot easily. In fact Templot still runs on all Windows computers back to Windows95. How well it does so depends on the system spec of course. If you are used to fast modern computers you may find it slow and clunky on a very old one. regards, Martin. |

I use parallels , my Templot runs beautifully in its own window on the desktop and accesses all the Mac peripherals , no issues at all. I have remapped a few Windoze keys to the Mac keyboard to ease certain actions Im running Windows 7 as a parallels VM. ( I cant bring myself to install 8 - arrgh ) |

Hello, I think any old windows computer that has a vga out port and sufficient graphics capability would be usable. There are many used computers up to the job especially with older operating systems. Most modern flat screen tv's have various video ports that can be connected to computers and offer great results when using Templot. The bigger the screen the more you can display. I don't know if Macs can connect to Large screen tv's in the same way unfortunately. Regards. Trevor. |

Trevor Walling wrote:Hello, The Mac Mini can connect to any monitor with a HDMI input personally like all software it benefits from a good big screen, decent graphics card ( especially since its now DPI aware) , goody amounts of RAM. All this gives decent response , especially for large Templot layouts ( as Im building at the moment). |
