... topic: 3474 How to join/align 2 templates? posted: 3 Aug 2019 02:19 from: drrsenior I am sure this is very basic but I have been unable to find the answer.I am designing a shed layout and have been making decent progress. Have battled through divergent turnouts with adequate success. Where I am struggling is linking adjacent tracks with a turnout as a simple operation. Attached is a file showing a simple example of what I mean. (Deliberately so there is no easy drop in curve) I have say 2 shed roads which are fixed, lengthen one of the roads and insert a turnout. What is the best way to now link the other road to the turnout? To date I have had to put plain track on either end of the gap and then fiddle around with length and radius until they meet neatly: I presume there is a better way? When I print out a template using either F11 or via the toolbar, not only do I get the template but also an extra full page with all the associated data (template generated at... scale.. track gauge... etc etc) printed on it. As I don't need this data, how do I stop it being printed please? It seems to be a recent phenomenon as I didn't have this problem when I first "bought" Templot. ... topic: 1988 Hiding the control template when storing posted: 18 Jun 2012 02:44 from: Martin Wynne I've felt for some time that it's confusing for beginners that the control template is hidden on doing a store& background (INSERT key). The effect is that the template has simply changed colour, rather than been stored. We can't not hide the control template on store, otherwise it's not apparent to beginners that anything has happened at all. I've now made a change which I've been intending to try for some time. The control template will remain hidden only briefly, and will then reappear over the background template. You can of course hide it again if you wish (HOME key). For more experienced users there is a new option not to have the control template hidden. It's on the options menu on the storage box. Untick this menu option: 2_172050_560000000.png This setting is included in the program preferences. Note that even with this option unticked, on a large track plan the control template will disappear momentarily while Templot re ...
