... anything else. This is important, otherwise some parts of the template and/or subsequent templates will be missing, as you found. But if extending exit track on the the existing partial template, for example with F4 or adding approach track with F3, do this only after splitting it from the turnout. The make tandem functions are a recent addition to Templot and still to some extent experimental. Previously it was necessary to create all the partial templates yourself -- which you can still do of course if you need a custom tandem of some sort. cheers, Martin. posted: 5 Aug 2019 21:22 from: Martin Wynne I think there was a hint of cabin fever in my previous post. First use the make diamond-crossing at intersection function. Delete the unwanted half-diamond. Convert the other half-diamond to a turnout, and change its V-crossing to generic. Add a short length of approach track. Then make plain track on the external geometrical radius: 2_111454_080000000.png To adjust the radius, you customize the vee rail length. ... days. And I seem to remember Martin recommending that setting for Templot somewhere. Hi Howard, Yes, I've only ever used 120dpi, right back to my first ever Windows PC, and all Templot development has been done at 120dpi. This means that the right-hand end of John's control bar is not available on a 1280-wide display at 120dpi. Having said that, on my Windows 7 system I now find Microsoft have increased the sizes of most things and 120dpi is a bit big. I've settled on a custom setting of 108dpi for that system. So here is the answer to your question Martin:- the "problem it causes" is that Templot is not "system independent" thus, if they *ban* writing (or installations) to the root directory in WIN 8/9 /10 Templot will not work. You then have a re-write forced on you OR we as users cannot upgrade our machines. The first thing to say is that the computer does not belong to Microsoft -- it belongs to ...
