There was a minor adjustment around 1926 when they took out a turntable and also removed a crossover from one of the centre roads through the platforms, but apart from that it pretty much seems to have remained as per the photo until closure. The photo did highlight that what I thought was a double slip, is in fact an outside double slip, so I've got one of those plus another 3 single slips to build. I had a track plan with the Sketchboard extending quite a way beyond it to show the scenic area. I then deleted some un-needed track which was placed even further above the Sketchboard area and suddenly the Sketchboard display was cropped to one grid square north of the track area. If I put back a piece of unwanted track and make sure that it is not the control, then the cropped area of Sketchboard re-appears. I also have some concerns about data security of cloud storage, so I wouldn't have bank account details, for instance, on there. ... original two templates and try again. Inspite all the improvements/ additions Martin has added to Templot over the years this still seems to be the greatest stumbling block for many people, and I really don't see an easy way to resolve it as there are so many permutations of Tandem turnouts that automating the process (as has been done so spectacularly for irregular Diamonds) is not a realistic option. Whilst it is possible to lay down a set of basic principles the different types with the third crossing in between the running lines and outside the running lines need slightly different approaches, as also do Three thows, so one standard set of instructions isn't realistically an option. I have thought more than once of trying to put together a set of steps explaining my approach as it differs in a number of ways from Martin's, but have found many of the snags Martin undoubtedly has. You can even do scratch marks with a third colour, so you could, for example, mark the rail edges. Most machines will take up to 8 colours, so you can also prioritise the order in which parts are cut (e.g. to cut the centre out of a window frame, before cutting the outside of the frame). If you do a half cut through each of the tabs, it is then easy to cut them off where not required. However, this has to be programmed into each specific model of laser cutter. e.g.- which colour means which type of cut i.e. to set the power of the laser- which order to use each layer/ colour (you should do the half cuts first)- how deep to cut each layer. ... : 17 Jan 2014 12:34 from: Nigel Brown I've a slightly different slant on things. Problem analysis and problem solving are skills, they only come with experience, and how far an individual can go down that road depends on the individual. Someone who goes through a university degree, or an equivalent educational process (I use the word educational in a wide sense), is likely to be further down that road than someone who has recently left school. And using a serious software package for the first time without outside help requires those problem tackling skills. This particular individual does not seem to have acquired those skills, as of yet. It's a general problem and I don't think there's any easy way around it. For example, seems to me the obvious thing to start with in Templot is to draw and print out a simple turnout or two, of the sort you might be interested in, in the scale you are using.
