So all this proves there is no such thing as "free" software, but all the same, paying 20 quid for a print driver does seem a bit steep, but does remind us that Templot is pretty good value for money. So really looking forward to the "built-in" ...

... Phil, your formation isn't actually an outside slip -- the usual meaning of a slip requires the rail to pass inside the diamond. The usual term for what you have there is a "half-scissors". The side road is completely clear of the diamond, and if there was a similar road on the other side it would be possible for both side roads to be occupied simultaneously. ... Tracks has just let me know they are happy to cut 7mm sleepers and crossing timbers from thin ply. As far as I know, only Brian has the 3-point gauge tool drawing. The tool diameter should be as small as convenient. Ideally it should fit between adjacent timbers, allowing soldering to take place on both sides.
