I do understand they are narrow and not standard gauges, and there are variants, but they are very popular scale/gauge combinations posted: 30 Aug 2015 13:11 from: Martin Wynne Hi John, I made the decision not to include narrow-gauges in the pre-sets. Partly because there are so many variants that they would completely swamp the list -- it is far too long already. But also because the timbering settings, rail-widths, etc., are not included in the gauge/scale settings. So simply changing the gauge and scale isn't sufficient if you still have 8ft-6in sleepers and 12" wide crossing timbers. The solution is to share customized template files with other users, one of the primary purposes of this ...

You have included the final 12" from the last sleeper to the rail end as a sleeper spacing. You should enter zero to terminate the list after reaching the final sleeper. Just as you keep the cookery books in the kitchen. Templot files are meaningless to other programs so there is no reason to put them anywhere else. The program file is significantly smaller than the accumulated data files, so there is no great harm in including the entire Templot folder in your backup set. For best results install the Templot program in the same folder where you want to keep your data files. But not if the path to that folder includes a folder owned by Windows. With the storage box open the workpad is no longer double-buffered -- the highlighting is simply "chalked over" whatever is already there. That's why you can "rub it out" my moving the storage box window around, and what you then see is what was already there before you opened the storage box. The bug here is that the highlighting is including the template name in the wrong colour -- it should be in the highlight colour, not the original colour. Or else the template name should not be included in the highlighting. Thanks for reporting it, I will get it fixed. It's purely a display problem so there is no workaround needed -- the template name is changed correctly in the box data and as soon as you close the storage box the workpad is redrawn with the new name showing. regards, Martin.
