This function creates a template linking from the current peg location on the control template, to make a tangential join with the selected background template, and adjusts the background template to fit: make_link_2_760x200.png A simple tangential link is suitable for use in yards and sidings at low speeds. When a smooth flowing connection is needed for fast running lines, it is better to use use the make transition link function instead. Gordon, One way I get around on a large plan is to use the "Zoom to fit entire page" button up in the top left corner of the workspace, just under the "Action" menu heading. Once zoomed out, I zoom back in to my required area using the Zoom Rectangle. It is a reasonably quick operation and you should get the view you want with a couple of clicks and a drag. I've emailed him both the .box file and the .bgs file so he can review it. However when he drags and drops the .bgs shape file onto the Templot screen (on his PC) all he gets is a blank white square and in the Shapes dialogue box it shows as [empty picture]. Grateful for any ideas why he can't view the correct shape file. I loaded up the ruler to see what space I have availabe for what I want to do. I noticed one oddity, not a show stopper, but as you move the ends of the ruler around, the last line in the information window (Timbering length) gets repeated over and over again. I have now drawn up my fiddle yard, produced the templates and made all the turnout.This is now wired up and I have started testing with all the turnouts working well. I could not have achieved this without Templot and please accept my heartfelt appreciation. I think Templot is a great tool and I have suggested to a number friends that this can help them and some have already joined.
