... grid in exported EMF metafiles, and most CAD programs will import metafile image files. That's at output> export a file> create metafile... button. You would probably need to adjust the scaling after import into CAD, which is not necessary with DXF of course. Make a note of the metafile resolution (600 dpi default) to help with this. regards, Martin. ... versions. The usual reason to do this would be that you have used white or pale yellow marker colours on screen which won't show when printed on white paper. Marker/mapping colours are now honoured in diagram mode in all output formats. The marker/mapping colour is used for diagram-mode track infill on templates set to use a marker/mapping colour. regards, Martin. ... group before modifying the group, or 2. omit all the unwanted rails at do> omit rails menu item instead of using the above menu option. This is the problem with the modify on rebuild function -- it tends to be a bit of a blunt instrument. The only solution if you want more control over each setting is to modify each template individually. regards, Martin. I did attempt to borrow some extra memory for this PC and see if it made a difference, but it turned out to be a different type when I took the lid off! All the best Tony. ... Go to Geometry and use 'No track centre lines' Go to Do and click 'Switch drive mark' to delete the switch. Now delete all the rails except the check rain on the inside curve. Go to Real, 'Adjust check rails' and lengthen both ends to the full length of the curved track. Result, a properly spaced check rail with bent ends. Simples! ... topic: 1678 Final (?) version for the loft. posted: 5 Nov 2011 15:24 from: Raymond After hundreds of iterations I have finally got something that works for me with a roundy-roundy and plenty of operational interest, largely freight shunting. The terminus will be a couple or so inches below the main line and has a traverser, a lá Birminghan Moore Street. You will need the development version to see it properly. Yet not so many years ago I was told elsewhere that the knuckle bend should be as crisp as possible, aided with a nick filed on the other side of the rail. My understanding of this area has developed, maybe that holds true for others too. I imagine the consensus would be that the model will work better (as well as look better) by following the prototype practice- or at least, there is no need to follow old modelling myths. Now I'm making a diamond and wonder about a similar issue at the centre of it, where the stock rail and check rail curve to form the angle of the obtuse crossing. It seems that on the prototype these rails curved quite gently- at least on the 1 ...
