The fracture, grain size and greenish tinge makes me wonder if it isn't markfieldite (a microdiorite from Charnwood). It seems that we all agree on an igneous rock (ie. definitely not limestone). The comment on grain size is a valid point as is the possibility of rust discoloration. Feldspars tend to be pink rather than the orange that I am seeing here which nornally indicates the presence of iron. I would opt for granodiorite in view of some of the darker pieces. Of course identifying rock from a photograph is always tricky and to really confuse things we may actually be looking at a blend. Nowadays with everything done on computers there is no real need for unit angles, we could work directly in degrees or radians. So to convert feet to mm you need to enter fi or if as the prefix -- fi3 converts 3ft to 914.4mm Always check the units being requested (shown to the right of the entry box) so that you can use the appropriate combination of input conversion letters. I don't want to go down that route with the ID numbers, because it would soon get messy and be meaningless to beginners. ... tried to put in some limits, but it's difficult without restricting desired functionality. Note that the video says you must use BMP files for picture shapes. This is no longer the case in Templot2 -- PNG or JPG files are now supported, and they don't need to be in the SHAPE-FILES folder. This doesn't change the amount of program memory needed, but makes the files a bit more manageable. When swapping end-for-end the alignment with other templates remains unchanged and the turnout is simply reversed within it. Note also that mirroring changes the hand of a background template but doesn't change its name. ... Hi Martin. On the latest (2.05.d), I seem to have a permanently displayed warning regarding a V crossing angle (see attached screenshot). Whilst the text contained in the dialogue displayed when the help button is clicked is clear and understandable, as you will see from the screenshot, there is no highlighted component, so there is no clue as to the errant component. Neither is there a highlight button, or similar, in order to aid speedy identification.
