For a slip it actually makes it easier to build because you don't have to find space for the K-crossing check rails. So easier to build and more reliable running, win-win. Right click on the tool bar however, took me to a menu with Properties and under the tab Taskbar, I did find a tick box 'Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop'.
