I will be be building in 1:22.5 scale using a model gauge of 16.5mm- probably using Peco code 100 rail. I have some books on the railway and my first problem is trying to understand the descriptions of the turnouts- they are described as follows... Originally 1 in 8 crossing and 7' switches Later changed to 1 in 10 with 9' switches... To remove a transition go to GEOMETRY and click on STRAIGHT or CONSTANT RADIUS. ... represent an easy-to-find sub-set of the most-used functions. I agree that the NEW function is a bit of an odd man out. It's there primarily for users who don't want to do track planning, just print a bog-standard template. I have tried to shunt such users into a separate way of doing things from the track planners. 65. Large layout
... to send a PDF or image file to the Scalefour society forum in a form that they can view on their computors, I tried to print to a PDF but I think the file is too big for the old computor that holds the original box file. Any help would be much appreciated. Also as a seperate subject I am in the process of buying a 44" inkjet printer and hope to offer printing of layout plans once I have a grasp of the software. The 1 in 8.25 RAM/ CLM seems an odd size E.g:- REA semi-curved C-size left-hand switch (unjoggled) 1 in 8.25 RAM( 1 in 8.28 CLM) regular V-crossing equalized-incremental timbering.
