... with no (printed) pages. I have an HP Photosmart printer and believe that I have calibrated it as best I can. As a matter of routine I tend to re-cycle pre-used paper that has already been printed on one side so I'm not necessarily using paper from the same original packet throughout the print process of 65 sheets. My first error was not to set the PDF print option to print Actual Size which left me wondering why the layout plan did not fit on the baseboards. That and a few other things that I'd failed to do before printing has seen me print the 65 pages more than once before and discard them almost immediately. I'm now working with the first set of sheets that I've totally stuck together, all previous prints have either been loosely overlaid or only had a few sheets stuck together. The latest print fits the baseboards although the overlaid background shapes- the baseboard outlines- don't exactly match the real thing but I haven't checked the dimensions of these shapes to confirm that I entered the details exactly (although ...

I therefore released a separate source version called TemplotMEC as a zip attachment here on the Templot Club forum, and provided some instructions on how to get started with it on a free compiler, see: topic 3283 The actual interest turned out to be near-zero. After 12 months not a single contribution had been made to the SourceForge project, and very few references to TemplotMEC here, with no actual new code posted. I therefore deleted the collaborative stuff on SourceForge and left it as a simple zip download of TemplotMEC for anyone who wants it. I have also decided not to spend any more time on it, and to concentrate on further developments of Templot2 only. having two separate versions that are not part of the main product roadmap gives little incentive to participate. In the early days of Templot I felt that I had a good grasp of where users were coming from and what assumptions I could make about their knowledge of trackwork and model track construction. Whereas in the first 24 hours there have been 125 downloads of 218b, and if it stays current for a few months it will rack up around 3000. Which means that nowadays I don't seem to have a clue about the users. I feel that almost anything I mention has to be accompanied by a lengthy explanation going right back to the basics. The reason Templot lets you create such a turnout as a B-12 is that there might occasionally be a reason for using one, if you know what you are doing. For example, if you are creating a scissors crossover, it is helpful to use a turnout which has ...

In the end I decided to go back and try again. Rather than having a crossover on a transition curve, it is now straight, though it might look better as a Y, but not entirely sure how to achieve that at present, but for now it works to give the overall idea for figuring things out. I also have added a single slip at the left end. I followed the tutorial video best I could and *think* I've got it right, but I'm not convinced of that. Might have messed the single slip alignment up somewhere along the way, not entirely sure. the plan is for a traverser each end, and the 3 long parallel tracks are planned to be hidden underneath scenery and accessed from the traverser. Any thoughts and suggestions welcomed. Attachment: attach_2291_2885_woolwich_dockyard ch_2016_05_31_2159_53.box 257 posted: 1 Jun 2016 ...
