Only if the K-crossing angles span the limit will you get a mixed diamond. They probably don't. Why not join the development group and try it again in TDV? ... posted: 20 Jul 2014 11:13 from: Howard I've been using Templot for some time now, but have found three problems, all of which seem very basic, and I cannot see how to overcome them.undefined First, I have moved the track to position (0 ,0 ), but it is above the horizontal datum. (I don't want the track here, this is just an illustration). Second, the trackpad grid shows as squares in the positive quadrant only. This is a problem because I am developing a layout where I want to plan each baseboard separately, starting from that on the far right, so I will have future baseboards in negative territory. Third, the outline of the baseboard has been generated as a rectangular shape, and modified via font/colours and setting the trackpad line width to 3. This setting is not saved when I save the background shapes. 2_200624_500000000.png Howard Watkins Attachment: attach_1882_2491_templottest_2014 _07_20_1054_25.box 220 posted: 20 Jul 2014 12:17 from: Martin Wynne Howard wrote: I've been using Templot for ...

You may have heard of the Go programming language, which was created by Google. In the Go community nobody ever talks about formatting. Not ever. It is a completely non-existent topic. The reason for this is that the compiler team also produced a code formatter which sits with the compiler and other tools and which everyone uses. It appears to be unthinkable to Go developers not to format their code using it. Now, it is almost something of a joke in that community that nobody likes what it does- at least not completely. There are some good bits and some bad bits, but of course nobody agrees on what the good and bad bits actually are! But what they all DO agree on is that standardisation is the most important thing, and so it is at once universally disliked and universally accepted. As you probably know, Lazarus provides easy (integrated) access to a ...

Likewise I would be interested to know how many are still using 256-colour (8 -bit palette) screens? Or 640 x 480 screen resolution? Templot includes a lot of code to deal with such things, and the very first release would run happily on such systems. I wouldn't want to run 091c on such a system, as it's a long while since I took such requirements into consideration in developing new features. What is the mimimum spec which it would now be reasonable to assume? I still try to make things work on 800 x 600, but even that is beginning to look old hat. As the inventor of the 3CP curve plotting tool, I would first like to present the background. The tool was developed due to the need to construct a 5 inch track gauge miniature railway extension hampered by many obstacles to negotiate and limitations to routes available. A simplified large scale version of the tool was constructed, machined and calibrated to forward plot along the centre-line of the intended route, i.e. the tool does not require a centre of radius. Careful track geometry was important, such as transition curves and smooth constant curves as we were carrying people (in many respects like full size railways). This was the only accurate ...

From a software development viewpoint( 40+ years) the Windows platform works because developers all use the same protocols and standards. Therefore anyone using a program running on Windows knows what the keys and buttons do and where information is stored. Deviating from this causes confusion. I've searched high and low, but can't find a place where the file name appears on screen or within the menu items. I'm guessing it is there somewhere but blowed if I can find it. Even better, if I wanted to distinguish between say, a "development" and "Current working" version of my project, I could create project files with different screen colours. When I then re-load them, I know immediately which one I am working with and what I should/ should not do with it!
