Hi John, I'm having a think about that. There is a significant problem -- using the wrong calibration data is likely to be 10 times worse than using the printer uncalibrated. Even if Templot finds some saved calibration data, there is no way of knowing that it applies to the very same unchanged actual physical printer that you are about to use. You may have obtained a new printer, or had an old one repaired. Folks could go on unknowingly using out-of-date calibration data for years. The only way round this I can think of is the current one -- you saved the file, you know which printer you are using ...

... concourse across the end of the platforms, the way to do that is to add a platform to a dummy centre-line-only plain track template. Set the front edge spacing... to say -100 inches (minus), so that the centre-line is hidden below the platform on the output. I agree that it is almost certainly an offset half-scissors rather than an outside slip. Do you have any prototype photos of this location? Start by overlaying two turnouts, facing and trailing, and roam them onto the toe marks on the map. After a quick dabble the south one is looking to be about B-7 and the north one about C-10. Both look to be regular V-crossings with extended entry straights to get all the V-crossings clear of one another: 2_111814_290000000.png To create the K-crossings, peg dummy plain track templates onto the switch heel or entry straight, curve them to match the turnout roads, and then make a diamond crossing at their intersection. You must enter the X,Y screen co-ordinates manually: 2_081241_080000000.png With multiple monitors you will probably need to do some trial and error. Enter -1 to return it to the default position. I tried the back key and 'rebuild group' and neither made any difference, so I had to open the saved plan and go through all the group selection process again. I don't save any groups as I'm continually selecting different parts and it's unlikely I will ever need to go back again to a group. It's not the end of the world, just takes me 5-10 mins to set it up again, but knowing you, I'm sure there's a reinstate group after wipe somewhere.... The setup is a main road of 6000mm radius with an adjacent loop road on a radius 6044.67. The ladder turnout was a 1:8 with a resultant turnout radius of 4286.96. The slip will go from the loop road (6044.67 radius) to the branch. This resulted in a one V of 4.37 and the other of 6.86 I thought these were relatively generous curves. However, in another topic Martin mentioned that a V of 1:5 was much to small for a slip road. What is considered to be the smallest V that I could use? I could make the branch curve bigger but then there wouldn't be a the same curvature through the ladder and turnout. I would also be interested to know how close the V should be to a whole number or half of one e.g. 1:6, 1:6.5, ...
