... been renamed "the control template". This was the only term I could find which made clear both its unique nature and the fact that it is a design tool, not a part of the track plan. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions about this at different times. This then required some further changes to remove the word "control" elsewhere: The "control" menu has been renamed the "main" menu. The "control room" window has been renamed the "program panel". "Portrait" printing has been renamed "end-run". "Landscape" printing has been renamed "side-run". There are some notes about these meanings at print> page orientation/origin>? orientation- help menu item. In addition the "drawing pad" has been renamed the "workpad", to make clear that Templot is not a CAD-style drawing program. There is a new HTML-based viewer for the internal Help notes. At present the content is largely unchanged, but it will now ...

But, selecting the "Print in Colour" menu item brings up an "INVALID REQUEST- Printer is not a colour printer or is not set for printing in colour" message. But actually it is, and it is. (and it prints fine from other applications.) My previous printer was an HP colour laser and that worked alright. Is there another setting somewhere which I am missing? I want to print a fairly large plan out to PDF, so that it can be sent to a commercial printer for printing. It's over the limit for A4. Whenever I try to set the page size to something useful like A0 or A1, the program asks me to calibrate the printer, now, fairly obviously I can't do this as I can't actually print it out, not having the printer. So I cancel that, try to print but the page size has gone back to A4!!!! The reason is that I often just want to print part of the selected templates (for example, the crossing area- as I solder that up, before assembling the rest of the point) and it is quite lengthy going:- print dialog.- I then notice that the crossing is on a page join. Better to move it to the page centre.- close print dialog.
