... of course ultimately I have no control over a user's browser settings. Whether the browser actually switches to the tab is another user setting. All I can say is that using Firefox on my systems everything always works as I expect and intend. Other browsers, maybe not. That's the problem with relying solely on a web-based format -- browsers are a minefield to keep track of. I have enough to do with Templot without getting into extreme web design. For example, in the FlashbackConnect videos, why does the Android browser not support the interactive pauses? Whereas Google Chrome on the same device does? They are essentially the same browser. regards, Martin. posted: 2 Sep 2017 19:46 from: Phil O I can see most of it on my tablet and by panning across I can see the rest. ... topic: 3048 Templot on Android tablet computers posted: 20 Jul 2017 14:16 from: Martin Wynne As you know, Templot is a Windows program. Lots of folks are also running it successfully on Mac and Linux systems via CrossOver/Wine, but as yet there is no way to run it on a tablet computer (other than full Windows tablets such as the Microsoft Surface Pro range). But now Codeweavers are working on a version of CrossOver for Android tablets, Chromebooks, etc., see: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover-android and there is a preview version available. Unfortunately this applies only to tablets which have Intel processors, which unfortunately mine (Huawei) doesn't, so I haven't been able to try this. But many (most?) tablets do, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried this? This raises the question of whether anyone really wants to run Templot on a tablet computer, but it seems evident that they are now very popular and the days of a home desk-based ...

Blueberry do the rest. I find it difficult to believe that the HTML5 video quality is watchable, but I will take your word for it. What is the least expensive way for me to get one of these iOS thingies to test? What other mobile devices need testing with Connect? Android? Here's the Connect video link again for anyone with an Android device to test: http://flashbackconnect.com/Default.aspx?id=z3LZpZ1HyGx4Mzpft5UXUA2 We don't need to know if it runs, but whether it automatically pauses while running. We keep hearing how Windows users do something this way or that. I don't believe this is true as Windows is changing all the time and its users manage to adapt. The same can be said about Android as well, and Linux is just the same. The key factor is people becoming familiar with a particular piece of software by just using it. I find word processing applications are much the same across all platforms. When one first encounters a word progressing program it all seems overwhelming and confusing but as ones experience increases things become second nature and one sees the generic nature of them all. This is the same for any software as is illustrated by people adopting and using Android devices. People download and start using all sorts ...

By that time, tablet prices will have come down even further and would it be un-realistic to expect people to buy a cheap windoze [sic] tablet just to run Templot? I think not. I do fear that one day I will start tinkering with the Templot code and end up wrecking it, and be unable to repair the damage. What to do about it?
