The best match I can achieve is in the attached file. I set the scale to 1:87 exact rather than 3.5mm/ft as this seems to be the norm for European models. The difference is very slight. It makes the model track gauge 8.62mm. I believe H0e is usually 9.0mm track gauge, but obviously you can't match a prototype drawing unless you have an exact scale track gauge. I set the flangeways to 0.60mm. We have tried to find the definitive dimensions for H0e in the past without success. In the UK the equivalent is called 009 using ...

I am attaching the box file for the most recent evolution of my projected West Highland model: an alternative to the Mallaig Extension based on the premise of a railway along the west shore of Loch Shiel to a terminus on South Loch Moidart via Acharacle. The box file shows the current layout for the terminus, any resemblance to Mallaig being entirely intentional. In the late 'eighties I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to measure and photograph a North British turnout at Rannoch with interlaced timbering. The turnouts on the attached drawing reflect the data collected at Rannoch. The projected layout features one tandem turnout, the employment of which is fairly critical as I haven't found a satisfactory alternative way to fit in the required facilities. Whilst I am reasonably content with the geometry of this ...

I've done straight track before, but never pointwork or single/double slips etc. I've settled on my provisional trackplan- see attached PDF- and i think, going off the length of pointwork etc.., the proposed plan will fit onto nine 120x65cm boards. I apprecaite the points may be a sharper radius than advised, but my intention is to 'tweak' the design once I know it will actually work. I now need to somehow get this into Templot. But having played with Templot over the past couple of days and watched the videos, I'm totally stumped with where and how to start. I'm not a computer expert by any means. But ...

As it's S7 I needed to save space where I could or there would be no space in the house to errect it, so in the middle is this curved double slip which I offer for your comments. I didn't quite follow the sequence in Martin's video as I found it easier (after altering the switch of the turnout based on the curved diamond and saving a copy) to attach the turnout to the peg, MCP or TCP as appropriate, and then manipulating it by swapping/inverting the hand until it obviously lay on the diamond in the right position. Once there making the slip road was easy and guranteed to be right. I say this after making numerous mistakes and getting some very weird slips, incliding those in which the switch blades were outside the point entirely. Anyway, here it is.
