... track plans to see how they pan out. I'm running Templot on my Apple Macbook pro using Wine and Templot seems to run well in that but, trying to import a background shape doesn't seem to work. I have the plan in both JPEG and PDF format which both appear on the C drive on Wine. I select the file, click on it, click copy, but when I go back to the "import shape dialogue it won't drop the shape onto the track plan. What am I missing? Track plan attached, it's a bit faded but should be useable! The question is though, how should I have done it so that the turnouts align correctly without all the trial and error faffing about, based on the positions of the diverging tracks being fixed? I have tried changing the numbers in the menu's: REAL Customize V-crossing Wing rail front Wing and Check rails With no change in the length of the wing rail reach on that side. There are others but this shows the single slip that gave access from the running lines to the goods shed. One line is straight but the other from the siding that parallels the platform is curved so that it joins the goods shed line, which then goes through an arch on the bridge. It is largely unchanged since first written. It is written in Pascal, originally for Delphi2. Because of line lengths it won't paste happily directly here, so I'm attaching it as a plain text file. It should open in any text editor or word processor. If you download a copy of Notepad++ (free), from: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/ you will be able to set the Language to Pascal and get the syntax colouring which makes it more readable. p.s. It also has a "To see what data this error report contains, click here" link. The screen that comes up is an "Error Signature", which I copied and attached as TemplotZero Error Signature. There is a link on the page for even more technical information. That screen contains the Error Report contents, which includes exception info, system info, information on modules 1 through 30, and data on thread 1 which is a hexadecimal dump of a portion of memory. It is not copyable however, at least without another application. I imagine Windows has a screen print utility and I could get the data that way, but there would be a lot of screen shots. There are several place where check-rails should seamlessly merge through turnouts and crossovers, but I get hopelessly lost in the various acronyms and options, so that anything I produce is actually by guesswork and accident.
