... ? Hi John, Not 10ft track centres, you mean 10ft-way (15ft-2in centres, 60.67mm). I don't think there is a standard spacing within engine sheds. Sholuld the components be grouped together to form one template? This has resulted in an ugly curved section with a pretty tight radius between the point and the double slip as the slip is based on 1:6 diamonds. If I replace the 1:4 with a 1:6 and make the section between the point and slip straight it looks much better, but I'll only ever be able to fit an 0-4 -0 or maybe just an 0-6 -0 tank into the "headshunt". I've attached both .box files, the "plus" one is the one that will mean extending beyond the current baseboard edge So, do I knock a hole in the sidescene and have say a 12" bolt on single track "fiddle yard" and have the prettier track arrangement? I'd have to hide the exit with trees or somesuch scenic device, or maybe resite the signal box to the other side of the tracks. If you take the left most turnout, it is approached on a left hand curve through the switch and emerges on a right hand curve at the crossing. I've followed Martin's video to the letter, but I can't seem to make it work for this. Any advice very gratefully received so that I can finish off the trackplan and get on with building the baseboards! ... moving the notch back to the datum and repeating the original process and then the notch appears from nowhere and I am back to pulling my hair out. I have tried three or four times even to putting the switch in the stock rail and then trying to put the other switch in the closure. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong as I am not giving any commands to move the notch except when it has appeared and I have moved it to the datum, to be out of the way. I have over a dozen emails waiting for replies at the moment -- problems downloading, CDs lost in the post, retrieving backups, questions about the difference between Templot and XTrkCad, lost release codes,...
