I have the misfortune of running norton (for another 25 days and counting) and that is what happened to me. I did something very unusual for me and switched off norton just whilst I started Templot and it worked fine. Just make sure you switch it back on straight after you've loaded- Templot maybe OK, but other nasties out there ...

... that Martin. It is small on the outside but inside it is amazing how much is there. I am unaware of any other software that manages to fit so much inside. It should win prizes for being so adaptable while being rock solid and reliable as well. You can't judge a book by the cover and that is certainly the case with Templot. You are very modest Martin but I am sure I am not the only person who thinks you are a genius. Regards. Trevor. posted: 19 Nov 2014 01:02 from: DerekStuart What's more- I changed from my laptop to a desktop recently and what I noticed was that Templot downloaded and installed within seconds. Yet many pieces of software that have far less functions take much longer. Someone certainly knows about efficient programming. (I managed to program a computer to say "HELLO WORLD" once if that's any help! ... of producing some super slinky permanent way once I get fully to grips with things! posted: 27 Oct 2014 21:02 from: Paul Boyd I think this post should be compulsory reading for all those who post everywhere on the internet except here something along the lines of "I've been using Templot for 10 minutes now and I still can't design Clapham Junction using Peco track therefore Templot is rubbish." It's heartening for me to read this and I'm only a Templot user posted: 27 Oct 2014 22:29 from: DerekStuart I would like to agree with Dharma66's post. I have had a copy of Templot for about 2 weeks and still not a expert, but getting better and have produced several quite detailed designs on it and each time I learn something new. Just supposing- and I do not believe this for a moment- that conventional PC work stations become virtually extinct. Let us suppose that android or similar continues to win the tablet wars and there are too few PCs left capable of running Templot. By that time, tablet prices will have come down even further and would it be un-realistic to expect people to buy a cheap windoze [sic] tablet just to run Templot? I think not ...

I would try to link the two ends with a piece of plain track and get the alignment right first and then insert a turnout into it, after which you can play around with the handedness and curvature of the diverging road by altering the turnout type. Regards Tony. posted: 16 Apr 2017 12:20 from: DerekStuart I agree with Tony. I think you will need to end up with the turnout further down the 'bottom right' of the screen and a far more gentle Vee though. Might be worth selecting 'curviform' too. At the moment that turnout would give you quite a severe reverse curve. ** DISCLAIMER** I know nothing about anything. posted: 16 Apr 2017 12:23 from: Martin Wynne Hi Panos, 1. Try starting with the turnout on the left, set curviform and the TS spacing, ...
