... the only software still using it. I hoped originally that using a ready-made drawing engine would save me a lot of time, but it hasn't worked out that way. One day I will set to and rewrite it from scratch myself, but it's no small programming task. Note that these remarks apply only to the sketchboard. Everything else in Templot can be blamed on me. regards, Martin. posted: 31 Oct 2014 15:12 from: Phil O Hi Martin The only thing running on my PC was Firefox, apart from the usual stuff like AVG and whatever windoz decides I need. ... It was part of the panic of "cloud computing" that gripped sections of Silicon Valley during the period. Along with the supposed death of the standard desktop PC. The video link you posted in the other section works perfectly well in Safari on my machine. Regards, Matt M. posted: 6 Mar 2015 22:12 from: Martin Wynne Thanks Matt. The future of Adobe Flash seems to have been in doubt for years, but it is still going at present, despite several recent severe security flaws which caused Firefox to refuse to run un-upgraded versions. Or at least SWF Flash is still going, FLV Flash Video is dying fast. Microsoft have their Silverlight alternative, Apple don't like Flash, IT professionals complain it is too resource-hungry, but at present SWF Flash is the only alternative to FBR for similar interactive functions. If it is working in Safari I will for the present assume it is usable as an alternative to FBR for users of Templot on Mac/Crossover, and provide some links in the video menu ...

Hi Bill, Have you seen this topic? topic 392 Detailed there are some videos to watch for customising narrow-gauge and creating custom switches. Also a .box file download with some 3ft gauge templates for Fn3, which you could perhaps use as the basis for Sn3 -- certainly the switches: fn3_15mm_samples.png Download the file from fn3_15mm_samples.box (In Firefox, right-click and Save Link As...) If you could perhaps upload a diagram of the turnout you are trying to create, or your .box file as far as you have got, it would be easier to know what to suggest. Most US standard-gauge turnouts use straight switches with a heel spread of 6.1/4" at the heel block, but I have no knowledge of US narrow-gauge practice. ... work properly. This is explained at: topic 1500 You can save your .box template files anywhere you like on your own computer. However, if you choose not to use the location which Templot suggests, Templot won't automatically find them in the next session. It is then up to you to remember where you put them and navigate to them in the file dialog. This is all basic Windows stuff and I have said that providing Windows primers is beyond my remit in supporting Templot. But here we go (screenshots below from Firefox): After clicking the download link, you should see this: 2_270137_550000000.png Click the Save File button. Then if you later open the .swf file in your browser (File> Open File... menu item) the video should play, without needing an internet connection. Alternatively if you left click on each one in the above list they should play in your browser directly from the Templot web site. This is an alternative to playing them from the Jing site with the usual links. I say "should play" because this depends on having an up-to-date version of the Adobe Flash plug-in (Flash Player 10) in your browser, which will play .swf files at the correct size ...
