... that would carry across from session to session? Hi John, Welcome to Templot Club. Once you have entered some printer calibration settings for a session, or loaded them from a CAL file, Templot should be using them for all subsequent printing on that printer in that session. I have just checked this and it seems to be working fine here -- can you post your exact sequence of steps which is not doing this? Thanks. What I have noticed is that if you use only the rapid print now! function instead of the normal printing functions in the output menu, the printer setup is not called and you do not get an opportunity to enter the calibration settings. I will have a look at that. In the meantime, before using print now!, please go to output> printer setup... to set up the printer and enter or load the calibration settings. The Down Loop is too close to the running lines. Where a loop or siding is adjacent to a running line, the rules require the track spacing to be increased by 4ft to 10ft way instead of 6ft way. In 2mm scale you need to increase the spacing by 8mm for 4ft scale. You can do that by mental arithmetic, or simply by entering #8 in the data-entry dialog. Here's a bit of Jing video showing that (in 4mm scale): http://screencast.com/t /u98lh6UQzbQ It may take a few seconds to download before it will play. 2. You have made much use of C-6 turnouts. I'm so fed up with this happening time and again that I am minded to discontinue supplying CDs entirely. The vast majority of users now download the program -- most folks are now on broadband and it takes only a few seconds. Even on slow dial-up it takes less than 5 minutes. Another question -- if I adopted a USB memory stick instead of a CD as the delivery method (such memory sticks are now inexpensive), would it, and the stored data, survive airmail security checks? Looking at many software suppliers it seems that download is now the only method of supply -- even where an imaginary boxed product is shown on the web site. To watch them, you must use an FBR video player -- otherwise they won't pause and will be largely meaningless to watch as the text notes flash on and off. That means to watch them offline they must be played 1. in the Templot Video Player, which is installed as part of Templot, or alternatively 2. watch them online instead at FlashBackConnect. (Unfortunately that means they won't work properly on a device which doesn't have Templot installed on it AND is not connected to the internet. You must have one or the other.) For a smaller shunting layout, or in goods yards etc. where bogie passenger vehicles won't be running, usually you want the crossover to be as short as possible, and reverse-curve effects may not matter so much. Generally it is then better not to use the REA switches, but change to older pattern loose-heel switches. For example using a 9ft straight switch instead of an "A" switch, or a 12ft straight switch instead of a "B". There is a bigger range of options in the GWR-pattern loose-heel switches.
