Since it's only for the fiddle yard I've decided to leave it as is and draw the Vees etc in by hand when it comes to making that section of track. ... left this till the last to tackle for my projected layout, and have now come up with something that is approaching what I need (that is a 1:8 double slip on a 15' radius) by following the video I'm not convinced I have got it right but here's my attempt.... A "point" in railway terminology is a single switch blade, and two of them make a "pair of points". ... have a look at Google Sketchup? This is free and more than adequate for designing baseboards. As you may have read in one of my earlier posts, I had problems getting going with it but once you get the hang of it, it's great! The current free version has a plug-in available that allows you to import DXFs (exported from Templot, of course!) so you can really go to town with 3D layout planning if you want!
