I haven't found a Linux replacement for the Windows TWebBrowser component -- maybe Graeme can help with that? cheers, Martin. posted: 15 Jan 2020 19:30 from: Rob Manchester Thanks Martin, Maybe just keeping the main PC on Windows and using the 'niche' OS on the others may be a compromise solution. I will have a think. Rob posted: 15 Jan 2020 20:27 from: Trevor Walling Hello Rob, You may care to try PCLinuxOS. I have been using it for years and find it really straight forward to use. Templot with wine works fine for me and has done for a long time. There is also a PCLinuxOS forum with lots of friendly and helpful user's should you have a problem. You could try a live cd or USB version to see if it is what you want before deciding to install on a PC. It is a rolling release which means you can update everything as you want when you want unlike Microsoft products. Regards. ...

... with the accompanying notes I think it is more informative. All you need to do now is update the rest of the video's to match and you will have your Templot tutorials and help guide in the bag. All the best with this Martin. Cheers Phil posted: 21 Aug 2014 09:41 from: Trevor Walling Hello Martin, Here are some screen grabs of your FBR tutorial. It opens straight from the folder as in screen grab 1 and 2. Screen grab three is it working at fullscreen. This is using PCLinuxOS. Brilliant Best wishes. If you set View> Movie Size> Fit to Window before going full screen, the video will enlarge to fit, should you want to do that. It may help with the font size. Change back to 100% to get the normal view. I was expecting some comments that the font size is too small -- which ...

Changes in the next TDV update: 2_210649_440000000.png Your alternative is to install the M$ TruType faces 'Times New Roman', 'Courier New' (monospaced), and 'Arial'+ 'Arial Bold'. Just add the definition files to your Linux font directory. It would be without a connection, simply for security.I am sure most are aware the older versions of windows leave a lot to be desired when it comes to security.I believe computers running XP would be the oldest microsoft version to connect online with adequate security available that would be able to check in.I would hope your change in policy is as successful as it deserves to be.I can name two products that have been successful when reliant on donations. One is JMRI which I am sure many will all ready know about.Another is PCLinuxOS a linux distribution that relies on financial donations and forum help from and for its users.Another aspect about the PCLinux model is the rolling update method it uses. Improvements updates and bugs are all dealt with by volounteers/members.I know Templot is closed source but I believe some of the same ideas used in the open source community would work just as well.Looking forward to the release of Templot2. I've just watched the latest video you made for Dafydd and it worked like a charm, including the keyboard shortcuts. The VLC video player works very well with your older videos (pre FBR) because it plays AVI format without a hitch, I don't think it plays nicely with FBR yet. Martin posted: 5 Mar 2015 19:33 from: Trevor Walling Hello Martin, FBR works great with PCLinuxOS for me. Perhaps it is the limitations of the Mac machines at this moment that is the issue. I would expect the software for Macs is more conservative than other systems because it is tied up with specific hardware unlike Microsoft or Linux operating systems. He created the version of linux some time ago but whilst still retaining the overall say of his creation allows a group of followers to provide help and advice to other users. Any member is allowed to make a contribution if they can help someone else and many members have. The forum provides a place for users to help each other and those that are more capable help "Texstar" Mr Reynolds with some of the more technical stuff with what could be called a rolling release of linux.
