... Martin Wynne Hi Alan, Wow! 533 templates! That's an epic production by any reckoning. It's looking great. Best wishes for the building of it, and please post progress reports for us. So that's two 40ft layouts posted here on one day. Something in the air? regards, Martin. posted: 16 Jan 2009 21:51 from: Alan McMillan Thanks Martin! I have to say I'm particularly pleased with the various irregular diamonds in there! posted: 16 Jan 2009 22:00 from: Jim Guthrie Swissrail wrote: Hi I thought you might like to see the progress on my Swiss layout plan, based (very) loosely on Montreux before its rebuilding in 1996, but greatly added to by me and now renamed Anderbad. Alan McMillan Alan, You'll be the world expert on double slip making at the end of building that one. And I see you've got a bit of narrow gauge track thrown in for good luck. I note that it is to P87. Whose track will you be using? Jim. posted: ...

... makes no positive contribution to the model railway world that I know of, suggests we are lazy. If you had bothered to read the contributions so far you would have seen that most of them were positive and were aimed at two objectives, i.e. to make Templot easier to understand and to create more time in planning trackwork/ less time fighting the programme. There is simply no point in adding enhancements to a programme, when probably 90% of the existing users cannot use fully what is existing anyway. Brian Lewis. Swissrail wrote: I second Raymond's comments Martin, these peripheral extras seem to me to be pandering to laziness, in that for some users, one click of the mouse is what they want because six clicks are unacceptable. This sort of thing is keeping you from refining and expanding the track-making functions of Templot. ... two opposite handed straight turnouts facing in opposite directions. Thre are about six partial templates involved in this formation and here is my problem. I cannot pick up some of the partials to move their name labels as they seem to be "buried" underneath other ones. Trying simply brings up the ones that appear to be on top. Is there a way of cycling through the template list and selecting the one whose label you want to move? ... :27 from: Alan McMillan Hi I'm using a custom scale/gauge setting for placing gaurd rails inside the running rails of 1:87 metre gauge. When I set all the dimensions and give these setting a name, they are not saved for the next session and I have to go in and set them again. Is there a way or saving custom settings so they appear in the scale/gauge list with the name you give them? However, there is a bit more needed yet. The V-crossing noses in both the B-7 turnouts are not properly supported on the timbers. It's a good idea when using a partial template containing a V-crossing to include at least the Y- X- A- B- C timbers in the same partial template, and then shove other timbers around them to fit ...
