I'm still very puzzled by the close track centres, because it makes it almost impossible to fit working check rails. Do you have any photos of the middle of broad gauge crossovers? It has been said by some the chairs are a bit crisper, you can use the additional special chairs for the switch rail, common crossing and check chairs, bridge chairs are also available and most can be used without modification. This will mean buying parts rather than kits, but with kits being in the region of £48 each (bulk discount is available) the separate parts are about £10 to £12 per turnout. One problem for the novice builder are the common crossings, these can be brought separately (you could ask is there is a discount for a bulk buy), as can the ...

But still the picture shapes seem to cause confusion for some users. So for the next program update I have had yet another go. There are some changes in functionality. In addition to the previous methods: 1. picture shapes can be created directly by dragging and dropping an image file onto the trackpad. 2. Templot can obtain the image for a picture shape directly from a scanner without needing a file name. 3. Generally I have changed the sequence so that the image is specified first, and the picture shape size and position is set up second. This is back to front as far as the code is concerned, but seems to be the way human brains prefer to work. So here are some of the new dialogs. Really ...

... methods -- the quick way and the other way. 1. the quick method: Revert one of the switches to a full turnout (F4 overall length). Set a curviform V-crossing and extend the turnout road exit (CTRL+ F12 mouse action). Then adjust the V-crossing angle using F9 mouse action (not F5) until the turnout road aligns with the other switch heel. Shorten the turnout road exit (CTRL+ F12 mouse action) to fit. This creates the slip road and one additional V-crossing at the same time. Like this: 2_030746_300000000.png If you have got the switch positions about right, the slip road will clear the wing rail ends and break through the diamond legs roughly mid-way between the K-crossings and the V-crossings. ... 23 Nov 2016 22:06 from: Jerome FAGOT Hello everyone and martin I know templot for a few years but I have decided to use it recently. This is a great software but I find it quite complex learning, especially for me who do not speak English. Are translations planned and if not, is there any way we can modify the menus to translate the terms into our language? Templot is exactly what I needed to plan my future N-scale network, which should be quite complex and large. In addition I love the switches, it is for me a real passion and I could spend hours in front of a railway station grill to study the changes of multiple tracks. My difficulty lies mainly in the fact that I can link the paths between them, the procedures seem to me long and very complex. A thousand thanks to Martin for inventing and writing this software. If you are like Nigel in 3 mm scale and the only chairs available are 3 bolt, then that's all you can use However if you model in one of the 4 mm gauges, then you not only have five (including ST flat bottom chairs) different types of standard chair within the C&L and Exactoscale but also a range of special chairs for both turnouts and crossings. I for one think the addition of the special chairs not only looks better but makes building them easier. The specific areas are covered on definitive access maps held by local authorities and are also shown on O.S. 1:25000 maps for England and Wales. The access is only conditional in certain senses, for example certain activities, such as motorised access, are excluded, and the landowner may have limited rights to prevent access for specific purposes at certain times of the year. The access rights are in addition to those covering public rights of way, such as roads, public footpaths, and so on. ... . Having a constant track bed width is quite useful when it comes to standardising the width of risers etc as if you are not too careful, you can end up with track bed screws either underneath the cork track bed or too near the edge of the riser and the wood splits. I always try to have the width of the riser the same as that of the trackbed, then I know exactly how much space I have to play with when using screws to secure the trackbed to the riser. I also use the additional width of the trackbed as a support structure where you have tracks at different levels and may use retaining walls or a scenic cutting between the two levels. Changing the width of the trackbed means more thought has to go into how scenic elements are supported. As I said, I do have a work round, but it would be a 'nice to have option' from a woodworking perspective. posted: 24 Feb 2017 10:00 from: Jubilee42 Hi Martin in the very useful video you stuck on Gordons ET blog several ...

You have set the gauge to N-NMRA so I assume it is USA. OK I know there is not a slip at the engine shed at Bodmin, but this is a Bodmin themed idea. Longer vans are often classed as passenger stock and dealt with at the main platforms.
