When this bridge was rebuilt in the 1930s it was no longer wide enough for the original double tracks, so they were gauntletted together. I took these pictures on 5th September 1986. ... do the two half-diamonds come from? Hi Steve, It's over 6 years since I did that design, so you will have to give me a while to re-familiarise myself with what I did there. Also I have to consider whether subsequent new features in Templot2 mean there are now easier ways to arrive at the same result. Certainly the ability to adjust the check rails by mouse action will make a big difference. ... the plan in Sketchboard, as it will not show partial templates in diagram mode. Is all you need to do is bring the turnouts back onto the trackpad background for Sketcboard and it will show the track-plan diagram correctly, don't forget to take then out again (I recommend not deleting them), when you need to print templates. The third is a guide curve for the tandem main road, just in case you or I need it. The line thickness is also saved in the preferences. If you have trouble seeing colours on the screen, you might prefer to use one of the other colour schemes, such as "bright night". Just from the look of things, the second variant does not look at all "right" to me as the reverse curve in the road crossing from bottom left looks very untidy compared to the nice smooth flow in the full scissors variant.
