... correct the rail to be used should be about code 55. I have some code 55 rail which (I think) will have a narrower head than the code 70. This might help with clearances. posted: 18 Oct 2018 08:23 from: Bernard Haste For those that are interested there is a useful picture of the two points in question at http://www.bahnbilder.de/bild/schweiz~rhaetische-bahn~strecke-berninabahn-sm-ti/408763/nur-kurz-ist-das-ebene-stueck.html Hope I have got that all in correctly. ... topic: 4 SNCF sleepers posted: posted: 14 May 2007 02:46 from: BernieM4 The photograph, taken in April this year shows a track of one of the main platforms of Nice SNCF railway station. The wooden sleepers appear to be 'rough hewn' with some repairs visible. A TGV had just departed the station using this track. Does anyone know of sleepers anything like this in the UK? Attachment: attach_6_sncf_sleepers.jpg 195 posted: posted: 18 May 2007 17:04 from: Steve Stubbs I don't know about the UK, but I have some photos somewhere of French sleepers taken in Alsace some years back. They were on a secondary line, and were in effect simply round tree trucks with a flat cut out under each rail where the flatbottom rail was simply spiked through. regards Steve Stubbs Parts of Templot Club may not function unless you enable JavaScript (also called Active Scripting) in your browser. Bernard posted: 13 Jul 2019 03:30 from: Martin Wynne Hi Bernard, Here is a stab at your 2 tandem turnouts. .box file attached below. 2_122159_550000001.png 2_122159_550000000.png nur-kurz-ebene-stueck-grenzbahnhof-408763.jpg linked from: http://www.bahnbilder.de© Herbert Graf I was unable to reconcile the details you gave with the drawing you posted, and the photograph. These tandem turnouts are both the same. Based on the tandem drawing, i.e. 1:7 turnouts both sides, in this case left-hand first. I have got them as close to the drawing as possible. I used CLM angles for a better match. the lead lengths and radii are close, but without some ...
