... it? I can't work what it's supposed to do I've got a feeling that it still is a single slip, of a horrible design. If you look at the rail in the middle of the pic which looks like a check rail, I've an idea it functions as either a check rail or a running rail. I think it has switches both ends, which allow it to switch from one to the other. I presume it manages to maintain acceptable gauge when used as a running rail... I am not an expert in VBA by any means, but I can make MS Access do whatever I want with it. I was experimenting with using VBA to control MS SQL server- though with limited success. ... I've fitted it if you want. One last thing: I originally had 2Gb of system memory which I increased to 3Gb. I may be imagining it but I think that my problems started then (prior to that Pinnacle Studio ran fine but it's hard to be precise on the timing). I've gone back to 2Gb but the issue remains. I'm fairly sure that Templot in your case and Pinnacle Studio in mine are only reacting to a potential instability in our systems rather than being the actual culprits. That dates me a bit! My sequence used to be to set up the main stock rail as one continuous rail for the full length of the point followed by the Vee, then the turnout stock rail, then the wing rails through to the switches with the check rails going in last. For three -way points all the vees would be installed after the first stock rail (starting with the Vee furthest from the switches). Similar approach for diamonds, slips and ...

You could try calling up timber shoving and getting rid of the oddball sleeper. Jim. ... strange one. Closing right in shows there are double lines to the right hand rail in this shot. Selecting that rail only picks the two inner white lines on the rail and leaves the two outer lines in red untouched. This double rail effect covers the whole length of rail down to H17 and prints fine on all the other sheets. Templot leaves the break where it would be on a Diamond Crossing. On a Slip it needs to be one timber nearer the common crossing. This is because you need the stock rail(s) to have one 'normal' chair (OK I know strictly speaking it isn't but you know what I mean) before the rail-joint, otherwise you are relying on the first slide rail chair as an anchor point for the rail. You can get away with this using soldered copperclad timbering but it isn't right and just try it with plastic chaired track....
