... topic: 2988 Re-instate a group from storage box posted: 24 Feb 2017 11:31 from: Godfrey Earnshaw I have split my project into 3 phases. All templates in phase_1 are background templates. Templates in phase 2 were grouped, given the prefix phase_2 and wiped (Group>wipe group). Phase 3 templates were treated similarly. Consequently all my templates are in the Storage Box (Ctrl B) the Background templates in red and all other templates in blue. How can I restore phase_2 (and phase_3) to background as a group, I have tried, Group>restore group and many other combinations in the Storage Box. I was hoping to be able to rebuild my current layout more prototypically using Templot, but personally I find it extremely complicated to use. I've looked at the videos and it all seems too easy, but reality is different to what is shown on some of the videos. for instance, I make a simple curved crossover on double track. I then try to modify one of the turnouts to get an easier radius, but then another turnout appears at random on the overall plan. I then find I can't print the original crossover, despite going into the template store; there's no print box shown. Has anyone yet written an idiots guide to Templot yet, or is there anyone out there who fancies doing a rather large layout plan? I ...

What counts is how many pixels? I just tried an 8MB upload at 4789x3327 pixels which worked fine. But that's about the limit, i.e 16MP (megapixels), for the server-side resizing. This period of enforced isolation during CoronaVirus, seemed to offer the ideal opportunity to sit down and revive my wider knowledge of the program. Alas, having not used Templot for a couple years other than to print out the odd template, I find myself back in the land of "the beginner" once again!
