The real=>timbering options would be a good one to save as well. I'm sure there are others, but I tend to use most programs in a default mode to save having to faff about if I ever need to reinstall them! If you really do go ahead with this, it might be an idea to add some sort of "restore default" button so that if you need to help someone you can get them back to known settings. Probably a better option would be to use the manual options for the trackplan instead of auto update. I will make a proper video later, there are a lot of options and settings. Sketchboard is based on a desktop publishing component developed by Nils Haeck in the Netherlands. I have kept it as an independent function, so that Templot users who have no interest in such things can ignore it entirely. If you don't click the Sketchboard button you will never see it. ... It was because I couldn't find the same in Lazarus that I omitted the file viewer from the first release of OT. There is no point in having a list of files there, because that is what is intended to appear in the main pane E. Also it is listing 11 files there but indicating 7 files in the top heading. Presumably because some of them are MECBOX files. Viewing MECBOX files (and importing them) needs to be a separate option on the viewer. F. When I clicked the show files button to generate the list, it crashed T3. Also the HTML on the main pane used to be centred. Have you changed it for some reason? I didn't expect that there would be any need to modify the HTML. My usual solution to such things is to display a "handy hint" alert with some options, so I will probably do that for folders with more than say 25 .box files. My general feeling is that if someone has amassed hundreds of large .box files, they have enough Templot experience to make their own decision and settings. The concept of foreground and stored templates is different to other programs and does lead to a steeper learning curve than hoped for. I have just installed an extra monitor so I can work through the excellent looking single slip video while clicking away on the main screen to learn as I go along but it won't help a new user if they click on a Help link to find 'Nothing here yet'. There are lots of Help? buttons located in menu items but reading these in isolation doesn't always get the whole meaning across, to me anyway. I would suggest that the provision of updated videos and tutorials should be a priority, both for me at a mid level and for new users. User inputs such as at Real>Rails>Rail Section Data are very nice but some of the other menus can be tedious. Take the configuration of a printed track plan for example.
