Pics mostly Scotland and Wales. Spent 6 months in hospital in 2006 with spinal cord damage, courtesy of a rare medical event; thanks to the NHS I walked out. Recovering at home and scouring the web for my favourite haunts I stumbled across Geograph. Ideal. Over about 3 years loaded up my archive, with many great memories, and it was an incentive to go and explore places and take a reasonable number of pics. ... sold by Maplin. No great problems and it works well. The only problem I did encounter was that I couldn't find a plastic framed tea strainer with a metal filter. I had to use a plastic strainer, cut out the plastic filter and use a metal strainer filter araldited (is there such a verb?) into the plastic frame. ... fit, and the broad gauge rail looks further away from the standard gauge rail than 5'3" would be, hence 5'6". India has the three gauges in my box file, but I have no idea of they ever all met! I also reckon that the broad gauge would slew back to its original position once it's passed the metre gauge turnouts.
