... on-line a few minutes earlier than 19:02, as was busy doing some transition curves over the later few minutes. It does appear to be back to normal now. Many thanks again for the help and tips. Internet Explorer could not connect to 85a.co.uk This was from 17:42 until I have just read your messages at 19:02. Hi Brian, Sorry about the downtime. All Data 1 Systems sites were down including RMweb. A message from Jim (our hosting provider): There was a network outage today that affected all clients from 17:20 to about 18:45 GMT. We are working on a way to implement a backup network as a failsafe. We apologize for the downtime, our recent growth has brought to light a lot of things we need to move forward. I want to thank all the clients that have stuck with us during our "growing pains". ...

... topic: 1304 Admin: server maintenance next week posted: 11 Dec 2010 20:06 from: Martin Wynne A message from Jim at Data 1 Systems: ** ** ** PLANNED SERVER MAINTENANCE NEXT WEEK ** ** *** This will affect ALL clients. We have purchased additional support equipment and will have a small amount of downtime on all accounts to physically move servers a few feet away from where they are. Some servers will get additional ram, some will get minor adjustments in other hardware. If you find Templot Club unavailable, please try again later. ... topic: 739 Admin: access problems posted: 22 Feb 2009 15:35 from: Martin Wynne The access problems to Templot Club via some ISPs mean that this site has been inaccessible to many members for over 24 hours now. Sorry about that -- it's affecting me too. I'm going to wait another 24 hours, and then have a rethink -- it looks like the move to Data 1 hosting has been a disaster. More downtime in the last 6 weeks than in several years previously. We can't just switch back until I have solved the database backup problems which prompted the move in the first place. Apologies again, Martin. posted: 23 Feb 2009 08:41 from: Martin Wynne Update -- Monday morning. The cause of the DNS failure still hasn't been found, but as a temporary measure to circumvent the problem, Jim has given us a new IP address. If you were previously having trouble accessing Templot Club, you should now be able to gain access using this address: http://69.36.13.142/ ...

... somewhere between me and other sites? Trevor. posted: 3 Jul 2014 14:32 from: Brian Nicholls Hi Tim, Many thanks for your input on this problem, it is very reassuring to know it's not my computer, and as I stated in my posting message, I did not think it was a fault with Templot. I am most grateful for your reply and now feel relieved about the dilemma. All the best, Brian. posted: 3 Jul 2014 14:52 from: Martin Wynne Sorry about the downtime last night. It was caused by server congestion -- another user on the same shared hosting was obviously having a sudden burst of activity. When that happens the database engine locks out, and needs Jim to reset it. If you get similar mySql errors in future, please just try again later. We are due to move to a new server soon, which should cure the problem. The hosting is with Jim Hale in Ohio. Jim's day job is engineering/ CNC programming. In the evenings he runs a ...
