... mentally translate) that "unused" actually means "remove" .What the command actually means is "remove [live template] from trackplan and put in [library]". Then it becomes obvious what is done, and that you cease to have a "live template". I'm afraid that I can't make a suggestion about "re-store and background" as despite having just played with it, all it seems to do is to generate multiple copies of the same template in the same place. Can someone give a plain English description of what the command is intended to do? And I think that "store as library template" means what I would know as "save live template and continue editing". The existing description is again counter-intuitive as it describes what happens to the "parked" template, and not the one that you are actually (still) working on. These are just a few of the thoughts on how better descriptions (without doing *anything* to change the coding or functionality of Templot) ...

Measuring the Track Gauge (TG) of a sample of this R2 setrack gives a figure of around 16.83mm (aside: P4 minus 2mm !) which gauge widening obviously allows most proprietary RTR to cope. Whether you consider that as TG 00-16.5 (DOGA-any, 00-BF BRMSB, etc) widened by 0.33mm or as TG 00-16.2 (00-SF) widened by 0.63mm is pretty irrelevant. The point is that the aforementioned RTR stock will get round it. Also, Messrs Peco's machinery will produce a far more accurate 17.1/4" radius curve that you are ...

This can be fairly simple, like a piece of steel strip which is drilled with a clearance hole for the punch and which is held on, or a natz above, the material to be punched such that it strips the material off the punch when the punch is lifted after the punching action. Not knowing the makeup for your punch means that I can't really give suggestions for how you might achieve this. Obviously, the stripper has to be of sufficient rigidity to do the job and achieving that with your punch might be difficult. I made punches for Plastikard many years ago and with them, I made them of two pieces of steel with the Plastikard clamped between then so that the top plate of the assembly stripped the Plastikard from the punch. Without the top plate, the punching job would have been a right PITA since styrene tends to clamp itself round a punch. Jim. ...

At Alli Pally I had a nice chat with the guy from the EMGS stall who showed me a really neat jig that he uses for making curved/straight track. I would like to try and replicate this. What I have been doing for my normal track so far has been to use 1 PCB sleeper for every 4 wood sleepers (bass wood from Eileen's Emporium). This gives a nice balance between the strength of the soldered PCB sleepers, with the cost and appearance of the wooden sleepers. I am using code 55 flat bottom rail. My layout is freelance and not based on any particular prototype, but there is a loose resemblance to Baden Würtemberg in Germany. Hence asking for suggestions for an adhesive for sticking metal rail to wooden sleepers. Superglue doesn't do the trick. There is already a specific tickbox to make your email address accessible to other members and therefore allow them to send you emails*, so I will try to keep that function working (replacing the personal message functions which I removed some time ago because of different legislation), as that tickbox would seem to be the specific consent required by GDPR. *It's not clear whether giving consent to be contacted by other members applies only to those who are members at the time the consent is given, or also applies to any additional members who may join in future. And whether such consent is only meaningful if you can see a membership list of current members at the time, and whether such a membership list can only show members who have specifically consented to be on it. Hi Gordon, My own feelings on the subject are, that one should make the passage across the diamond as smooth as one can. Now I'm sure you know that large acute crossings mean you have a larger gap between the crossing rails contact points, therefore more wheel drop into that gap, giving the model (locos& rolling stock) a bouncy look as they travel through the diamond and the wheels drop into the gap, also, though it may not necessarily be too severe, there is more impact when the wheels make re-contact with the crossing rail as it comes out of the gap, consequently a little more ware and tare. I don't think there will be any problem with derailment, unless the bounce and impact is very severe. I can only say, that with K angle 0f 1 in ...

You can submit a request to unblock the Templot IP address at http://www.comcastsupport.com/rbl As far as I can see, this form is primarily intended to be submitted by the hosting company, giving details which only they can provide. Cheers, Mark Hi Mark You might get problems with the 4 wheel stock if it's long wheelbase.
