... ....I have been learning the ropes and enjoying the superb features, but have run into what feels like a 'silly' problem. I have an HP PSC 1400 (USB) 'all in one' scanner/printer (which is known good), ink levels ok, and it prints perfectly well (with dense blacks and rich colours) when using other programmes on my computer...but, not with Templot it seems! I`ve set the printer to 'best' 'highest dpi' and followed the Templot instructions on setting-up and calibrating the printer: the printing, measuring and proofing process. The problem is, that the framed-page to measure (which has the loco in the middle), only has one or two very-very-faint lines forming part of the frame (normally just two of the adjacent frame sides), and the other two are not sufficiently visible enough to measure and calibrate. I`ve done the obvious things to try: 'nozzle cleaning' prints, checked for correct drivers and ...

No I didn't buy it but it was nicely built. The thing that struck me was how very light it was compared to todays RTR offerings from Dapol and Heljan. Rob posted: 22 Apr 2018 22:21 from: Martin Wynne Thanks Rob. The details are still on the web site: http://templot.com/martweb/go_hunslet.htm And the instruction sheets for the kit: http://templot.com/martweb/kitins.htm exploded.jpg The web pages from 1998 do look very dated! We made very few of the assembled version. The red lunch boxes drew some comment, but in fact they made a very sturdy container for the model. Designing and toolmaking for that made an enjoyable interlude in our usual work. Sweating over a hot moulding machine proved to be less enjoyable. cheers, Martin. posted: 22 Apr 2018 23:01 from: Rob Manchester Hi Martin ...

This way I won't have to keep jumping back and forth etc. The pc is fairly recent (2 years old) with an Intel Celeron 2.93GHz CPU and 703mb of RAM, there is only one connector for a display though, so I assume I'll need a replacement (or additional) video card (any suggestions much appreciated please!). I don't need anything clever since I don't do games, fancy graphics etc. Will there be any problems please- I'm guessing that other Templot users already have such a setup. Once installed will I need to configure any settings in the computer in order to use the second monitor please? Many thanks. Brian. p.s. Clever with computers I'm not, ...

I found the Masokits instructions far more useful, to be honest. The system is very good, even though the chairs are not quite as 3 dimensional as cast or moulded chairs. The finished product is very strong and easily adjustable. The tedium of folding the chairs is the only real down side. Now this document, is aimed at the beginner and novice user of Templot2 (and perhaps those club members that have never made a curved scissors formation before ), the down side is, that the document is quite large (many pages long), this is because, as I have already mentioned, it explains in detail every single step (instruction) needed to make the formation, and also because the document contains a considerable number of screenshot illustrations, suitable post processed and marked up with appropriate information, showing just about every significant point at each instruction operation, hence a very large number of pages. For Windows 10 it is all totally unnecessary anyway, because that comes with a free fully-integrated copy of Windows Defender. Follow the instructions and wait a moment while Templot does the calculations. You will then need to split the underlying original background template and shorten each half back accordingly. Templot can't produce crossings shorter than 1: 1.5 RAM( i.e. not more than 33.7 degrees). This method also works for two straight tracks intersecting, but in that case ...
