... : i am happy. If you are happy with spending 50 euro per turnout, with the money you have on what you want i am happy for you, simple. Make them work on air, i forgot the name of that system, but it is a nice system. Best of the best btw! Most of us(at least i think) are using the meany years of development of Martins masterpiece to create there railway on there way in prototypical view/work At forehand i would like to apologizes if i insulted you, it was not my intention. ... :07 from: Templot User Sorry to bother you but I can't find the answer to a problem I'm having with Templot. If I highlight a section of track and then press the F7 key to shift it, I end up shifting the whole page and it would seem that none of the other Function keys are working either, so I guess I've changed a setting somewhere and would be grateful if you could advise. Rgds, Stuart M. posted: 3 Mar 2011 17:43 from: JFS I might be risking insulting you intellegence- apologies if so- but have you selected the "highlighted" section of track to the "Control"? The function keys only work on the Control template. Hi Mike, As far as I know only from Brian, and that's just Brian being Brian. We all wear our "I've been insulted by Brian Lewis" badges with pride, they are highly sought after in the hobby! Thanks for the details of the service you are offering to Templot users. I'm sure many will be interested. Do you have a web site with more details? It seems to me that the biggest drawback to the timber bases is the need to chop out the links between the timbers before you can ballast. In the time spent doing that you could maybe have stuck individual timbers to a paper or card template. And chopping the ...

By selecting one I get the properties drop down, select what I want and print. What I had in mind for Templot, was the elimination of the time wasting strokes- 'Is the a xxx printer?' 'Has it been calibrated?'. 'Do you want to load the calibrations?' and most of the the slightly insulting 'This is a colour printer. Are you sure you want to print in black and white?' {== Change the default on track names to 'no track names' ==} OK. Brilliant. So often when I access a members submitted track plan, it is obliterated by names. {== Scale/gauge ==} Scale/gauge isn't a user preference, it's a design setting specific to each template. It's saved in the .box file. I can't put it in the user preferences. ...

... Templot is something to enjoy using for its educational side alone. The fact one can use it to make templates of track formations to print out is a bonus. The skill levels required to do the same with a pencil and drawing implements would be beyond many more than currently if Templot was not available. Mmmm I seem to have had a bit of a rant. I must take my tablets. Trevor. posted: 21 Jul 2013 18:56 from: Paul Boyd Well said, Trevor Comparing Templot to AnyRail is rather insulting to Martin, I think. People seem to want to blame anyone but themselves for choosing the wrong product. Why on earth buy Templot if you just want to plonk bits of Set-track together? Completely missed the point... It also irritates me when people moan loudly about something, in this case Templot, on any forum except this one. How many of these people have come here to ask for help? As far for the timbering, i need ~60.000 pieces, to avoid mistakes in the production process, i wanted them at 1x1 cm, to get a more prototypical look when finish glue-ing, i had to change the settings. This is not just a build and throw pieces on the ground, this program is giving the ability to make it prototypical perfect. By no means i wanted to insult or speak negative about this program, by no means. I am very happy with this. As the tread title:I wish it would....probably it already can!
