... wrong end of it. Templot uses the peg location as a marker to know which end of the existing transition template is to be used in making the new transition. You can even transition into the existing transition zone if you position the peg accordingly (CTRL-F8 mouse action), but note that in this case you must split the template at the peg and make the boundary at exactly that location. If you want a transition curve easement to terminate in straight track parallel with the grid, put some straight track there as a dummy template, and then use the make transition functions on it. Generally you would first place the tracks which are important, in this case the straight track(s) through the shed. And then link them to the approaching tracks using the make transition functions. That may require some trial and error with the dummy templates to get the desired result. Hi Richard, Snapping can only snap the existing current/control template as it stands. To link between two existing tracks you need a function which can create a new template to fit. The usual way to do that is to use the make transition* function, as Alan explained. Hi Ray, When you use the make transition function between templates which are themselves transition templates, the fixing peg is used as a marker to tell Templot which of the two radii within them to use in the calculations. Nearly always this means temporarily swapping the peg to the opposite end from the end where you have it, and swapping it back afterwards. I need to develop a better method for this.
