It contains several new functions for mimic panels. In the meantime I have made a very scruffy temporary video just to show you an alternative method from the one you are using. Some details: 9mm thick lines at 30mm centres. diagonal lines are the same thickness as horizontal. output from the trackpad is full normal 100%. The sketchboard is used in page mode, i.e. without a linked updating trackplan. The mimic plan is an ordinary metafile image. Only the yellow rulers are used, and the dimensions are the full printed paper sizes. This makes it a lot easier ...

It can't be done in Windows Explorer, and even if it could I wouldn't want to because I want Templot to work as fully as possible under Wine on Linux/Mac computers. Instead I will make a file viewer function within Templot itself. It will take a while to do, but in the meantime you may like to add a dummy template with the name "read me" to your .box files, and add any notes about the file to its memo notes. I suggest making it a short centre-line-only background template, so that you can easily access it to read/edit the notes (edit memo notes is on the pop-up menu for a background template). Short means say 25mm -- enough to see and click on. Don't place it too far from the tracks, otherwise ...

In the event that an existing transition curve is zero-length, selecting the 2nd radius option fails -- the 1st radius is always used. Sorry about that, I will get it fixed. ... It isn't. Tony W has explained some of the alternatives, but the basic answer without dropping to the low-level functions, is "extend and split". This is the usual way to finish with one template and start with the next one, when there isn't a specific tools function to do what you want. By splitting from the first template you retain all its settings, and the initial curving radius will match. I really must soon do some more on the new Templot Explained beginners guide, but in the meantime I have made you a bit of scruff video showing "extend and split". For plain track templates it is necessary to use the peg to mark the split position. Had you set the tools> make tools: options> retain shoved timbers option while designing your fiddle yard, any timber shoving on the first template would have been transferred to each subsequent one as you created it. I will look at adding this to the modify on rebuild function for retrospective changes. It won't be easy because each background template may already have some timber shoving of its own. In the meantime the best I can suggest is that you go to real> timbering> timbering data... and change the fill timber spacing to a very large figure, say 5000 inches.
