If you are still using 091c, all bets are off! Sorry about the underlining, but you said you only ever skim-read stuff. Firstly the answer to the question, but please read the rest of this reply too. The information you want is in 2 places: 1. the last file accessed is shown at the top of the recent files list. ... you the ropes, maybe be a good solution for this person Regards Phil posted: 17 Jan 2014 12:34 from: Nigel Brown I've a slightly different slant on things. Problem analysis and problem solving are skills, they only come with experience, and how far an individual can go down that road depends on the individual. Someone who goes through a university degree, or an equivalent educational process (I use the word educational in a wide sense), is likely to be further down that road than someone who has recently left school. And using a serious software package for the first time without outside help requires those problem tackling skills. This particular individual does not seem to have acquired those skills, as of yet. It's a general problem and I don't think there's any easy way around it. For example, seems to me the obvious thing to start with in Templot is to draw and print out a simple turnout or two, of the sort you might be interested in, in the scale you are using. So what are the pros and cons of NS v Steel, as I could not find this discussed in either GOG forum or on this site? Does that preference apply to wheels as well as the track? I am particularly interested if this reduces track cleaning, which I think is one of the worst jobs, especially if you intend to have point rodding and lots of scenic bits which are easily damaged. I think if the discussion had been couched in the terms of your posting here, reaction would have been a lot milder. I think the issue is that Callum, perhaps unintentionally, appeared to hijack a number of threads on RM web. Including, horror of horrors, one about P4. Naturally this raised a few hackles and he was encouraged to make his own thread which he did. Callum is very enthusiastic about his recent discovery of OO-SF since it seems to answer some of the problems which judging by his postings he has put a great deal of thought into. Unfortunately this enthusiasm came across as zeal. Newton's third law seems to apply especially to electronic conversations and a strong reaction ensued. The discs are self adhesive and are a real pain to get off when they are worn; and if you want to change to a different grit that's the end of that disc. Changing belts is easy. I can also recommend the service from Machine Mart. I recently broke the bracket supporting the table. We have seen in some close-up photos recently that the fit of the chairs to the rail section is far from perfect. What's puzzling me a little is why the need for an ultra-strong life-long bond? I had thought that the main reason for attaching the slide chairs with adhesive was to stop the timbers falling off or losing alignment between bench assembly and track-laying. Once the track is laid there doesn't seem to me to be any great need for a strong fix between the slide chairs and the stock rail (for models). The ...
