... in Templot and a photo of the WDLR drawing. I had asked if someone might take a look at my template to see if I had thing correct. Now 8 years on I am getting ready to lay some WDLR in O14. I would appreciate if I could get some comments on my work. I am going to approach Tim Warris at Fast Track about getting a fixture made. ... I correct in assuming that with overlaid partial templates, the higher number templates are printed on top of the lower ones? This would mean (I think) that to see the correct switch layout, the switch templates need to be higher numbered than than the half diamond templates. Hi Charles. Yes. There is a note about this in the slip tutorial. For the switch blade rail-edges and planing marks to be correctly shown on the printed templates it is important that the overlaid switch templates have higher numbers in the storage box list than the underlying half-diamond templates. To achieve this you can either: a) delete each switch in turn to the control template and then store it again, or b) in the storage box, show box list and then change the list order using the brown up/down arrow buttons. Move the half-diamonds to positions in the list above all the switches. Alternatively, for a perfect result the half-diamond templates can be split into further partial templates, with the rails omitted where ...

... topic: 2662 Hidden sidings using Peco points posted: 29 Mar 2015 15:58 from: LSWRArt I need some hidden sidings for my 7mm layout and enclose a sketch of what is required. I will use Peco points throughout for speed of construction. It works as it gives me sufficient storage length in each loop and some room at either end to move a loco or stock between loops, but it does not look very nice. I have got this far by shuffling points back and forth along the curves. Is there any way to easily optimise the design to make the storage roads look tidier? What is the best way to align two roads when they are coming from points at opposite ends of loops? Minimum radius is 4 ft (1220mm), but I would use a larger radius or an intervening straight on any reverse curves. I am wondering if the first point on the RHS loops would be better as a Y, which I think is 1838mm radius left and right from the centre line? Any comments or suggestions? Thanks ...

You then copy the library template to the control template, and off you go. This way of working allows you to create an infinite variety of custom settings, and choose whichever you want at any time, without having to type in anything again.
