... store it myself? Hi Paul, Whenever you save a .box file, or when Templot makes its own backups across sessions, the control template is now "tacked on" to the .box file too, and restored as the control template when you reload the file. This replaces the previous arrangement whereby a starting control template was minted from the last template loaded. (If you try saving a .box file from TDV and then loading it back into 091c, you will find that you have gained an extra unused template in the storage box. This doesn't work the other way, TDV knows there isn't a control template tacked on to earlier files, in which case it reverts to the previous arrangement.) This change was needed only for Quick mode, but since there is no way to know which mode a .box file will be reloaded in, it had to be implemented for all. On balance I think it's an improvement. regards, Martin. posted: 22 May 2011 08:45 from: Martin Wynne Paul Boyd wrote: Right-clicking ...

I then put a peg on the exit of the slip, put the notch under the peg and then try to add some plain track onto that notch. As soon as I move the track into position the notch moves from under the peg and the new track doesn't align with where I want it to go. Any help would be much appreciated. I should add that this is part of my storage yard and I managed somehow to get the other end to work out after suffering the same sort of problem, I thought I had sussed it but obviously I haven't. There are 80 slots in there. Or hold down SHIFT and CTRL and roll the mouse wheel slowly forward and back. When you find one, do Store and Background, then continue rolling forward and back until you find the other one. Alternatively you can get back the last one you deleted by going to the Storage Box and clicking the edit> undo delete menu item. If none of that works, you will need to reload a previous file and copy the template from there (save group for a single template), then get back to your current file and add from file. When working with important templates it's a good idea to do wipe to control instead of delete to control. Yes I know the storage box will fill up with unused templates. Or is effectively there already? Hi Nigel, It wouldn't be too difficult to instantly save the current/control template as a one-template box file in a specified "stoving folder" on your system. And we could have a function to load all the box files from that folder (or any specified folder) into the Storage Box in one go. But is there a real need? At present you can store library templates in your box files. And you can select any template in the Storage Box as the only member of a group, then do "save group" to save it in its own file, then perhaps delete it from the current box. Or do that to a small group of templates in a single file. A further layer of functionality might be just too much for some users! regards, Martin. Parts of ...

The tandem turnout is comprised of several partial templates, so you need to set it up as a group of templates in order to keep it all together in one piece. You can change an option on the storage box so that it is added as a group automatically. To join a group of templates onto one of your existing templates you link the group to the notch, so that the group follows movement of the notch. Diesel locos are generally much better with more weight and all wheel drives. I'm guessing but steam locos may be pushed with more than 4 coaches. At least the tight reverse curve would be down the gradient so that will make things slightly easier. Not sure if I have understood the plan correctly, but if the storage/fiddle yard roads are directly under the station and you only have 60mm clearance, how will you access the hidden roads? Of course increasing the clearance will make the gradient much steeper and that may limit stock movement even further. posted: 20 Feb 2008 17:23 from: Jim Guthrie Gordon S wrote: Hi Dave, always interested in any layout with gradients as they really do require a fair bit of planning.
