In the screenshot image of the< switch settings >, shown directly below as Figure 1, can I either Rename or Delete the custom switch template shown at the very bottom of the list, highlighted in blue? Hi Brian, No. The bottom slot contains the custom switch found in the last control template which had a custom switch. It's a convenient way to transfer custom switch data from one template to another. (But see also obtain to the control> obtain switch on the pop-up menu for each background template.) The data in the bottom slot varies as you use Templot, so you should not rely on anything remaining in there. The only way to empty that slot would be to restart Templot, although I can't think of any reason why you would want or need to do that. If you want to change the name or edit the details for the custom ...

... workpad window, i.e. click on it somewhere. see next message You may need to zoom out on the workpad to see the items, and they may disappear when you zoom back in. There is a control for this, on the sketchboard control panel: options tab> zoom limit tickbox. Try unticking it. But take care -- if you then zoom in a long way the system may appear to hang for some time while it creates the sketchboard items massively enlarged. Try also changing to the low-res transfer mode on the same tab. The image quality will be poor, but you will at least have the outline positions. regards, Martin. posted: 24 Dec 2011 17:19 from: Martin Wynne Martin Wynne wrote: Note that nothing will happen until you return to the workpad window, i.e. click on it somewhere. ... with the built in camera, use hold pinch-zoom to correct any perspective errors and pinch-zoom to get it to the same scale as you template. One final advantage is you don't need to print out. You can simply put a clear protective layer over your iPad, select the hold mode, and build on top of it. I have for sale rolls which you purchase at the same time as the App. Now there are a couple of disadvantages. You can't print out from iPlot. You have to transfer you file back to Templot and print out that way. Because transition curves are different, they are converted to many templates rather than the one that iPlot uses. The second disadvantage is actually to do with the iPad. As it is not as powerful as most desktop PCs most of the calculations are performed in skeleton mode where only the centre line is drawn during dragging. It then takes up to a second to draw the rails and sleepers once you release the drag. The third disadvantage is cost. It is not ...

... latest version having had someone download the current version for me today !! !! !! What is pug version this and pug version that, what is a default printer or a pdf generator? The tutorial video after I have carried out the "Control" and then selected a gauge does not show me clearly how to go from that selection to the "Triangle" and then to the "two way arrow", how do you get to that stage. I have 2 and 3 screens but cannot get it to transfer across, it will only work on the one screen. Whilst the above may be obvious to Computer people, I expected it to be easier than it has so far been as I cannot get past the select a gauge. There is no phone number for assistance only e mail. So do not know how long I have to wait for answers, or waste time typing. Ultimately I was hoping to design my layout in O gauge in a 19 foot x 35 foot shed, looks like it will not happen tonight ...

... is looking to find someone to take over his business, or if not to begin winding it down. So far there is no-one interested, and he has not been taking on new customers for some time now. Either way, it would seem that it's time to bring the Templot web site home to the UK. Jim has promised me at least 6 months notice before pulling the plug. But I don't want to hold him to that, I think I should begin the process in the near future while the transfer can be done gradually and there is time to iron out any problems. Which there will be, because there always is. And after 15 years there is far more stuff on the web site than when I moved it the other way. So I have purchased some hosting in the UK, and I've made a tentative start. I intend to run both sites in parallel until I'm confident I can make the final switch without problems. This also gives me a chance to do some housekeeping on the various other domains and ...
