You may want to shift it to a new position, re-size it, wrap it onto a curve, etc. Here for example I first twisted it by -35 degrees to a more convenient alignment using the twist... button, and then used crop/combine again to reduce it to a more manageable size. I have then set it show transparent and started aligning tracks over it. A C-9 turnout is found to fit for the trailing connection from the Goods Yard: crop_combine_5.png crop_combine_5.png The advantage of performing these picture shape functions in Templot rather than a graphics editor program is that the scaling and full resolution is maintained. ... topic: 782 Toggling Background Shapes posted: 7 Apr 2009 10:35 from: Andy G Martin, I am currently working on drawing the trackwork for the relaying of Slattocks Junction. I have drawn the baseboards and also have a couple of very large scans of the existing trackwork. I've managed to get by with setting the scans to transparent on occasion so that I can see the baseboards through them but it would be very useful if there was an option to turn individual shapes off. For example I may want to display the baseboards but not the scans of the existing track. I'm not particularly bothered by the ability to group shapes but being able to toggle display of a shape on and off would be great. Hi Paul, Timber numbering is showing ok here in both Adobe Reader and Foxit Reader, so it looks to be a problem with your reader, or insufficient memory on your system. I do notice that there seems to be a problem with the positioning of the timber numbers -- some are overlapping and obscuring part of the end of the timber. The cyano types cure in the presence of humidity in the air. As you found, once opened they have a very short shelf life. They are usually transparent, or the rubber-toughened types are black. As I've mentioned, Nils's code for the sketchboard engine is far more complex than we need for Templot. There are some chunks of it which just baffle me. One day I'm going to have to rewrite it, if ever I'm going to continue to support it as time goes on. In particular, I'm not convinced we need the alpha blending and transparency functions in the Graphics32 package. I would prefer to stick with the Windows GDI so that we can have hatched and bitmap infills instead. That would also allow much faster rendering on the trackpad for sketchboard items.
