Full details are on my website but briefly the main advantages are: 142_280337_260000000.jpg Upper photo the ballast has been glued down and coloured. Briefly the method used was the normal pre-spray with water and a drop of detergent followed by diluted PVA applied with a dropper. Once dry the process was repeated but instead of PVA, diluted water soluble paint was used. Lower photo shows raw ballast but the colour doesn't quite look like the actual colour, which is to my eyes a slightly off-white creamy colour. 142_280338_550000000.jpg 1) It actually looks like ballast 2) When you glue it down using the method of pre-wetting with a spray of water with a drop of washing-up liquid and dropping your chosen glue on by dropper, be it diluted PVA or Latex glue, once dried, the colour is unaffected. 3) It is quite pale ...
