I went and bought a batch of kitchen base units whilst on offer at Wicks as a sub-baseboard storage system and built this to support the baseboards above. The horizontal rails are separate from the supports, which they just slot into and also support the next set of horizontal rails that butt up to it. The idea is to be able to level the whole length of the subframe before putting the baseboards in place.
