Hi Martin, One way to do it is to assemble it on the bench. The base is in three pieces. Presumably the stock rails are joined at the centre, not in one piece? p.s. just noticed it's an irregular diamond -- one road straight, the other curved. 6 timbers between the V-crossing and K-crossing at the far end, 5 timbers at the near end.
