Yes, if the markers are blocks that are positioned and oriented on the timbers I can do a global substitution with my blocks. No manual intervention required. (I was describing how I currently position blocks on a template.) The same set of sub-components can be used to construct the chairs for a large range of crossing angles very quickly. The check rail chairs are saved blocks that can be reused as is.
