If your track plan includes some sharp curves, you would want to increase the spacing a little to ensure a running clearance. But the full Lenz spacing seems excessive. I don't have any data for German switches, but I guess that the geometry of the GWR curved switches is probably quite close. The upper crossover is created using GWR 10ft switches and 1 ...
